Japan's Ekiden is a famous long-distance relay marathon, with the most prominent being the Hakone Ekiden, a massive two-day university event held every January from Tokyo to Hakone and back, known for its intense teamwork, steep mountain legs, huge TV audiences (millions watch!), and its roots in historical messenger relays. Runners pass a sash (tasuki) symbolizing shared effort, embodying Japanese values of dedication and collective spirit, making it a cultural phenomenon beyond just a sports event.
COROS is collaborating with Ekiden issuing a limited nylon replacement band with special detail design highlight

- Colorway: Based on the red representative color of the Josai University Hakone Ekiden team, accented with yellow lines representing the Josai University sash.
- Pattern: Symbolizes the sensation of speed while running.
- Center Line: Continuous and unbroken, symbolizing the passing of the Hakone Ekiden sash (tasuki) and generational heritage.
- Details: One end features the [Hakone Ekiden Official Logo]. The other end features [Josai University] and [102nd Hakone Ekiden Commemoration] text
